Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is offering the West Coast premiere of Norwid’s Return, starring and directed by Polish-American actor Marek Probosz, exploring the raw genius of Cyprian Kamil Norwid, one of Poland’s greatest writers of the 19th century.
MODJESKA PRIZE 2022
Presentation of the Helena Modjeska Prize 2022 to Katarzyna Smiechowicz and Marek Probosz. Our Club is proud to present the Awards to two eminent actors active in Poland and California. The Modjeska Prize 2022, named after the patron of the Club, actress Helena Modjeska (1840-1909), to two of our friends - a member of the Club and Vice-President, a great actress Katarzyna Śmiechowicz and a friend of the Club and frequent participant of its events, an outstanding actor Marek Probosz.
NORWID’S RETURN
Based on true events Norwid’s Return is a minimalistic contemporary dialogue between the actor and the pianist, a rich tapestry between words and music in which Norwid pulsates with emotion and provokes with every thought.
THE DEATH OF CAPTAIN PILECKI
The film recounts the story of the trial of Captain of Cavalery Witold Pileckii in 1947/1948.
